Sandy

Sandy is a stage hypnotist who lives on a cruise ship in the Pacific. The ship makes a long 7 day trip from Los Angels to Honolulu to Tokyo and back.  As such the ship is constantly getting a fresh batch of young ladies for Sandy to use in his show and to put on display.

Aside from being a skilled hypnotist, Sandy is also an artificially created Sandman. Artificial in that he got his powers through a poorly worded wish, and not through being the son of a real biological sandman. His powers include the ability to change him into any mineral substance he would like, aka silica (aka sand).  He can use his 'sands' to slide into the minds of individuals and effect their thoughts, a kind of magical hypnosis that he has learned to perfect over the last fifty years. He can also coat a person or object in his 'sands' and give the impression of them being turned to stone. With more concentration he can effect the person and actually petrify them but he saves that for rare occasions. The effects are temporary and would wear off after about a week if he were to stop thinking about keeping the subjects in line.

He is a snappy dresser and chooses to stay mainly in his stage uniform of dress slacks a nice button up shirt and a vest. He has sandy brown - blondish hair and a general upbeat attitude about life.
