Description: After being radio silent for several minutes, Laura finally reappears on camera and Jessy is able to catch up with her. But is she really who she appears to be?
Eve watched as Laura slowly entered the classroom, only to see Jessy run down the hallway and follow her. “Finally something is going right.” Eve said with a sigh, just as something else appeared on the camera. For a split second, it seemed like a small orb had floated ever so quietly into the room both girls had just entered.
Back in the school Jessy entered the classroom behind Laura and, as expected, found her friend in the room. The classroom was what you would expect from any highschool class room that had been abandoned for decades. The back wall was filled to the ceiling with book shelves that were partially filled with left behind teaching supplies. At the front of the classroom was a chalk board that still had some chalk sitting on the ledge, and a few messages written on the board probably by other ghost hunters… or urban explorers. The teacher's desk was wood and took up a large part of the front of the room. The desks were all pushed aside, barely resembling the organized structure they would have had when the school was active. And off to the fall wall from Jessy’s point of view Laura stood at the window, staring through it with a vacant, empty expression, as her hands hung limp at her sides. Of course Jessy was oblivious to all of this, I just thought you, the reader, might like to know.
“Hey, we were worried about you!” Jessy said, smiling as she looked around the room. “Did you find something? She asked excitedly. “Is there a ghost in here?”
A computer-like voice emanated from the device on her belt and echoed through the room. It gave a simple, short, yet completely surprising response of “Yes.”

Phasmophobia - N.C.U. - Part 3
Key: FD, MC, Possession, Sleep
Description: With Laura nowhere to be seen, Carly comes face to face with her own ethereal being.
“I found a room…and the sensor says the temperature inside is below freezing. That’s not good, right?” Carly asked nervously.
“No, that means the heat isn’t working right in that room.” Christine replied. “We should leave a note so they can fix that.”
“No!” Shouted Carly in annoyance. “Isn’t that, like, one of the things that Laura said we should look out for? Like a room that is below freezing means there is a ghost or something?”
“Wasn’t that an M.Night Shyamalan movie?” Rayne asked sarcastically.
“Who cares?” Eve responded as the frustration continued to build in her voice. “Just be careful. If you want to use one of the devices that Laura gave you until we get in touch with her, do that. I can see Jessy on the camera. She's on her way to the second floor. Just…do what you're doing for now until we find Laura, ok?”
“Fine!” Carly said, putting the radio back on her belt and pushing her way into the classroom. The room itself was no different than any other classroom from the late nineties. The desks that filled the room were all too small for any adult to sit, with the seats and desktops all connected as one piece. Chipped, short bookshelves lined the wall by the window while the back wall was covered with lockers, most of which were open. At the front of the room was the teacher’s desk, with the ultimate relic that time forgot sitting atop it: a globe. Behind it was a chalkboard still streaked with faded chalk marks, while the rest of the room was littered with stray papers and the occasional pencil or pen.

Phasmophobia - N.C.U. - Part 2
Key: FD, MC, Possession, Sleep
Description: Laura investigates the person that Eve saw on camera, only to come face to face with an apparition.
“There’s…a person on camera 9.” Eve said nervously. As she watched the camera, a figure dressed in white with black hair slowly moved through the hallway…and then vanished. “She’s gone! She disappeared!” Eve shouted in a near panic.
“I’m on my way!” Laura said excitedly over the radio.
Eve breathed a sigh of relief at hearing Laura’s voice. She definitely didn’t want to be in the school with the girls, at all, but even being in the van made her nervous and uneasy. Of course since the back had been literally opened into the school’s foyer, it was hard not to be nervous. Knowing that Laura was on her way helped her to relax, if only for a moment. But it would also keep Laura safe. She seemed to be almost…lost in her quest to find a ghost here. “What's your ETA?” Eve asked as calmly as possible.
“I’m here now!” came Laura’s giddy response over the radio.
“You are?” Eve asked spinning around to see an empty truck and, beyond that, an empty foyer. “Where?” she asked, turning around to see Laura walking through the same hallway the ghost had appeared in just moments ago. “Oh for fucks sake.” Eve muttered. “Why did you run to the same hallway as the ghost?!” She asked exasperatedly, but her only response was static. “Hello? Hello? Can anyone hear me?” She repeated into the radio. But again, she was met with static.

Phasmophobia - N.C.U. - Part 1

Rayne let out a sigh as she turned the page of her book. She was relaxing in the corner of her bed and enjoying some rare down time for herself, which was immediately interrupted by the sound of her phone. “Damn it…” She sighed, trying her best to ignore the phone. After a few more moments of insistent ringing, she placed a bookmark in the book and slammed it shut. When she saw it was Laura she sighed again. It wasn’t that she had anything against Laura, she just needed some time to herself. Not wanting to ignore her friend, she answered it anyway. “Hello…” she said in a voice that implied she was at least a little annoyed.
On the other end of the line, Laura was talking at high speed. Rayne suspected she was caffeinated and overly excited about something, but it took her a few moments to figure out what that was. When she did her eyes opened wide as she held the phone away from her head for a moment, staring at it in shock. “Ghost hunting?” She asked in surprise, mixed with a little annoyance. She paused to regain her composure before politely adding “No thanks Laura, I’m really not intereeessstttt…” Her voice trailed off as her face went slack, and her eyes glazed over. It was an almost instant response to the hypnotic trigger that Laura had used while Rayne was attempting to reject her offer.
Rayne sat motionless, staring off into space with a vacant expression while Laura’s voice could be heard giving her instructions on the other end. Finally she responded. “Yes…of course I’ll join you. I’ll be right there, Laura…thank you for inviting me.” She finished blankly.
Laura’s voice could be heard saying something on the other end before the phone disconnected. Rayne continued to sit there for several seconds before blinking her eyes and getting up from the bed. “I’m going to kill her when this is over.” She said as the annoyance returned to her voice. Laura hadn’t bothered to make her forget that she was hypnotized, or to think it was her idea. Rayne had to obey, but she didn't have to like it.
