Subject: I got Tranquilized!
So I had a series of dreams over the last week or so, I thought you might like to see them! I don't remember too much of the first one, the only image that I can actually still pull up is me running through a forest and stopping all of a sudden to reach up to my neck to find a dart from a blowgun in it, swaying on my feet a bit and then falling over....so unfortunately I don't really have context for that one, but there's the image for you anyway
The second one was still short by my standards, but anyway, from what I remember it was later at night and I was walking down the middle of this empty street with Lissa, Lorie, Krissy and Jesse...and a lot of the details are starting to get fuzzy at this point, but it's safe to assume that we were all hit with darts from the blow guns at one point or another during the dream. Lorie was the first to get hit. I thought I'd seen something out of the corner of my eye but when I turned around there was nothing there, and as I was catching up with the rest of the group I noticed Lorie was behind a bit and was wobbling on her feet, too. when I caught up to her I saw that there was a small dart in her neck, and once I pulled it out she just kinda slumped to the ground and was out cold. It was pretty much a domino effect from there, Jesse was the next to get hit as the others were trying to figure out what was wrong with Lorie, if I remember right she was crouched down next to her and I heard this kind of hissing noise as the dart went by and caught Jesse on the arm. She looked a little surprised by it at first but it seemed to take effect pretty quickly and before I knew it she was trying to steady herself against the ground - but was already failing and was pretty unsteady on her feet. Before she could really steady herself she was out like a light next to Lorie.
It gets kind of fuzzy in between here and the next two hits (this probably didn't happen in the dream but I attributed the gaps to there being random bombs with knock out gas being thrown around...let's face it, with the way my dreams go sometimes it's completely plausible). I do remember Lissa and Krissy getting hit pretty much the same way, although for reasons I never figured out Jesse and Lorie had been dragged off somewhere so it was down to just me, Krissy and Lissa, from what I remember it looks like we had split up and were looking for Lorie and Jesse, and from a distance I remember seeing both of them get hit. Lissa was next to a tree when it happened and just kinda slumped against it while her eyes fluttered shut, and Krissy wasn't too far after that. Then as I was walking over to the two of them I felt one of the darts hit me in the butt, of all places, while my vision started going blurry and my eyes started blinking more. At some point I ended up on the ground, and whoever shot me with the blow gun was standing over me, and...that's pretty much how it ended.
So like I said, shorter than my dreams normally are - luckily I wrote some of this down so I'd still remember some of it tonight, but yeah - there's that like I said, it inspired weird dreams where blow guns were used quite liberally.
(A few days later another email...)
This was odd, but remember that dream revolving around the blow guns I sent you the other day? Well, I had another dream last night and I'm pretty sure it was a continuation of that, at least it seemed like it was given that the same people were all in it and it just seemed to kind of pick up where the other one left off. The way I remember it starting was I woke up, seated on a chair in the middle of an unfamiliar room. I'm assuming I woke up, by the way, based on the fact that I got hit with a blow dart at the end of the last dream and passed out. I didn't really have much time to look around before I noticed that Lissa, Jesse, and Krissy were all still passed out in various spots around the room. Lissa, in particular, was on one end of a long couch with one arm hanging off limply, while Jesse was on the opposite end in a similar position. Krissy looked like she had been leaning upright on the floor, against the couch, but had since fallen over and was now just sprawled on the floor. At that point I noticed that all of our clothes had the same wrinkled, disheveled look to them. Of course, I didn't really get much of a chance to question why before I saw Lorie sitting on a chair similar to the one I woke up in, half clothed, and staring at a spiral that was being projected onto the wall. It was hard to tell how long she'd been sitting there, but her face was slack, her eyes were unfocused, and she seemed fairly out of it, so I'm guessing it had been some time.
I got up and went over to her, shook her lightly a few times, and waved a hand in front of her face, but of course I got no response. Since the others were still passed out I decided to explore the room. It was a fairly decent size, white room with soft lighting that made the spiral on the wall a bit more noticeable, and a handful of furniture; namely the couch and chairs that the others were passed out on and a bed that looked a little out of place in one of the far corners of the room. At a glance it seemed like a normal room..except for the spiral on the wall that was, admittedly, hard to not glance at occasionally. I'm not sure if I expected it to disappear or something, but even glancing at it out of the corner of my eye probably wasn't the best of ideas, and I caught myself looking a little too long on more than one occasion.
After I surveyed the room I walked back over to Lorie with the intent of waking her up. I tried shaking her again and waving my hand in front of her face, but again there was no response. Finally I just started to move the chair that she was in so it wasn't facing the spiral anymore, and once she wasn't staring directly at it everything else seemed to snap her out of it. She started to blink a bit more, and looked around the room with a confused look on her face, then immediately turned a shade of red I didn't realize existed when she realized she was slightly less clothed than the rest of us. At least on top. She asked the expected questions of where we were and what was going on, but the last thing either of us remembered was being hit with the blow dart and passing out. I pointed to where the others were and we moved over to try and start waking them, which turned out to be easier than expected given that they were just sleeping. Once they were all mostly coherent again we decided to split up and attempt to find out way out. In hindsight I don't know what exactly we were looking for but damn it we were determined to find something. :oP We kept up the search for a while, and eventually I noticed another light out of the corner of my eye. When I turned to look at it, I saw a light in the ceiling that was positioning itself over Krissy...but before I could warn her, what looked to be a stasis field moved over her and she just stood there in mid pose as the light washed over her body. I wasn't sure what to do at that point, and none of the others had noticed what had happened to her yet because the pose she was frozen in made it look like she was just looking around the room. I started walking towards her, looking for something I might be able to do to use to help, when I noticed on the opposite side of the room that Lissa wasn't moving from the spot she was crouched down in either. I hadn't seen anything happen to her so I was curious and moved over to where she was placed. When I got next to her I saw that she wasn't frozen but she was holding something in her hand and was, well, engrossed by it. Weird as it sounds it was this little thing that was honestly about the size of an arc reactor and had little flashing lights all around the edge and in the middle of it, it also sounded like there was a humming coming from it. Either way it had put her out pretty quickly - for those of you playing the home version that puts the count of unconscious people at two. I tried poking (look, it seemed like a good idea at the time...), nudging and generally trying to get her attention in any way I could (maybe I should be more creative with ways next time) but needless to say it didn't work. So, again, I got up and started over towards where Lorie had moved to, only to find that she had (of course) ended up in the area of the room where she started...and was staring at the spiral that, through all of this, was still projecting onto the wall (how no one had gotten caught by that sooner, I don't understand but this a dream, it doesn't have to make sense).
So there she was, caught by the spiral on the wall again...showing all the telltale signs of someone who was well and completely out of it. And so at this point I was almost waiting to see what would happen to poor Jesse, who (aside from me) was the only conscious one still standing. She, unlike the others though, had turned around just in time to see what was happening to everyone. She saw that I was still conscious, too, and started to walk across the room to me. Halfway through, this little chrome ball-looking thing (technical names are not my specialty, sorry) rolled across the floor from what was undoubtedly somewhere in the room and stopped at her feet. When she bent over to pick it up, a small circle opened in the top of it and a fine mist started to pour out. Jesse looked a bit confused by it at first, but once it hit her directly in the face, the effects were almost instantaneous. She blinked a few times and started swaying, and before I could get to her, her eyes fluttered and she kind of just gently toppled to the side. So there I was, standing...not quite in the middle of the room with all of my friends now unconscious for one reason or another. As I was...I wanted to say surveying the damage, but that doesn't seem like an appropriate phrase...but anyway, I was looking around trying to figure out what to do next when I saw there was another light blinking on the projector. If ever there were a time to think 'danger, danger will Robinson' it was probably then...in hindsight. Given everything that had just happened, though, and me being...well, me....I was kind of oblivious. And as a result I didn't put two and two together. So long story short, the blinking light was related to another stasis field that captured me, too. Although it happened differently than it did with Krissy, hers seemed more instant while mine happened slowly enough for me to feel it happening. So not only was I being captured, but I was pretty much helpless as it was happening. Win win? You decide.
And sorry that a) was kind of longer than I expected it to be, and b) took a little longer than expected to get done. I'm amazed that I still remembered it by this point but hey I guess I won't complain. Anyway, I hope you enjoy, talk to you later! *hugs you*. But now it's time for me to forget.
